Royal Oak Choir at Disneyland Workshop
On April 3, 2012 the Royal Oak Middle School Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Rebecca Schmalzbach, attended a vocal music workshop at the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland. The students attended workshops directed by professional vocalists and artists and were given a chance to try out their vocal skills. Students were given the opportunity to experience the "backstage" areas of Disneyland and see the inner workings of how shows are choreographed and created. What a great experience for our Royal Oak vocal music artists! Maybe there is a future Disney star in our midst?

The Charter Oak USD Governing Board voted unanimously to put a school bond measure on the June 5, 2012 ballot. This measure would maintain student achievement, renovate our outdated classrooms and school facilities, and ensure all of our students have access to the instructional technology they need to be successful in high school and beyond. The measure will generate $47 million to repair and upgrade our facilities. The Facilities Master Plan is now available on our website with its own page under "Quick Links" (to the right), or click here.
