The 2015-2016 school year got off to a great start thanks to the outstanding preparation by the teachers, administrators, and support staff across the District. Welcome to the Glen Oak Elementary Principal, Karen Goss, and the COHS Assistant Principal, Adam Stites. Welcome to the new teachers at COHS and Sunflower, the new counselor at ROMS, the new District Speech teacher, and all of the new support staff.
During the 2014-2015 school year, there were countless successes. Great progress was made with the implementation of the Common Core State Standards. All schools began the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS). AVID was expanded to include Badillo Elementary School. Project Lead the Way was introduced at ROMS. COHS was awarded the California Gold Ribbon Award for outstanding work in implementing the math CCSS. Arrow High School was recognized as a California Model Continuation High School. Willow received a California School Boards Association Golden Bell award for their student intervention program. Our ROP program was awarded the Global Best Award in all of North America for STEM classes. The visual and performing arts programs won local, regional, and national awards or recognitions. Information about the student such as emergency contacts, medical and language information will be collected. Upon completion, the student's information is electronically sent to the school.
