School Vision and Mission

  • The mission of Willow Elementary School is to provide a caring and cooperative learning environment which offers each child the opportunity to develop individual intellectual skills, creative talents and social abilities that prepare them for success beyond elementary school."

Willow Elementary School is more than just an outstanding school. It is a community with a passion and joy for learning. Willow Elementary is one of five elementary schools in the Charter Oak Unified School District and is located in the southeast quadrant of the City of Glendora. Willow is a small K-6 neighborhood school that serves 372 students, from kindergarten through sixth grade. Our distinctive school theme is valuing the traditions of a small school environment and family atmosphere, along with equipping our students for success beyond Willow.  Students, parents, and staff learn from one another and work collaboratively to form a flourishing learning community.  Willow is more than an educational institution; it is a community for learning in which all feels a part of the family. The school is proud of its tradition of excellence and proven success.  The dedication of teachers, parents, staff and the community are a testament to Willow’s strengths and accomplishments. Willow was awarded a California Distinguished School honor in 2010 and 2014 and a Golden Bell school in 2014 and a Golden Ribbon school in 2016. Willow Elementary was a Title I Achieving School in 2011 and an Honor Roll School in 2012. Willow has an API ranking of 9 out of 10 in similar schools comparison.
