Q. I was reviewing RFP #25-26-01 Fresh Bread and had a few questions. The required documents checklists ask for a “Certificate of Independent Price Determination” and a “Product Recall and Withdrawals Record”. In the past, this document was provided within the bid. Are you able to provide the certificate and the product recall and withdrawal record form?
A. “Certificate of Independent Price Determination” - It's a signed certification where the bidder attests that the prices in their proposal were arrived at independently, without any collusion, consultation, or agreement with other bidders. This can be their own attestation or template provided by their company. The attestation specifically confirms the following:
Independent pricing:The prices in your bid were developed independently, without consulting or communicating with any other bidder about pricing, the intention to submit a bid, or the methods/factors used to calculate prices.
No price disclosure:The prices have not been knowingly disclosed (and will not be disclosed before award) to any other bidder, directly or indirectly.
No attempt to restrict competition:No attempt has been made, or will be made, to get any other company to submit or not submit a bid for the purpose of restricting competition.
“Product Recall and Withdrawals Record” - This is the record their company maintains for product recalls and corrective actions taken to dispose of products.
Q. I wanted to check in on this bid; did you need samples on every item we are bidding? Or samples on alternates? Or will the district request samples.

We are asking for a dozen of the following items or equivalents:

Q. I have a question on your RFP 25-26-01 Bread. Page 38 lists the member districts and number of delivery sites. Can you provide the addresses for those delivery sites? Also, where and to whom should samples be delivered to? How many are needed?
Q. I filled out the required information for my team which they will review, but I did not notice a specific sheet on the exact
Bread/Bun requirements needed. I usually see a sheet requirement with the Product Description, Quantities, and Prices but I can’t seem to find it. Is this something that is discussed at another time or can you advise me if I need to provide what we offer separately? Any feedback you can provide would be helpful.

Q. Upon reviewing the contract, I have a few questions so I can better understand deliveries since there are a lot of schools listed on pages 38-40. Can you help provide me more details on the bread deliveries.
Are the delivery locations the ones under the names of the individuals listed on pages 39 & 40 or do you they have Central Delivery kitchens in those specific cities.
I also noticed most of the schools have Monday as a delivery day (20), while 4 are only Monday, and the rest have a combination of days, but do they have specific times during those days of service. Or they work with the vendors on the best times available.
Because of the number of schools and many have a lot of the same days of delivery would we be able to work with them on days of service & time.

Q. I was referred to you by Jenny Lee at El Monte School District. I am reviewing the items and qualifications to be part of the bid. We’re an established wholesale bakery with a partner company combining over 8 figures in revenue, however, we are new to the school districts.
We have provided bread to food manufacturing facilities that sell to school districts, however. Upon reviewing the bid items and locations, I was curious to know if we are able to bid on only certain items we specialize in or if every item has to be bid on?
Also, can we bid on delivering to central kitchens in return for more competitive pricing? Thank you.
A. You are welcome to bid on any of the line items. As for the drop site that varies by district. We award a main vendor as well as a back up so there are potential opportunities.
Although in general we are looking for someone with the capabilities to address all the needs of all 30 districts.
