At-Home Chromebook program

As we begin the new school year, we would like to provide you with an update on our student Chromebook program. At the conclusion of last school year, we began transitioning from a “take-home” model and returned to our previous model of 1-to-1 Chromebook devices for students on campus.

Highlights: 1-to-1 Chromebooks on campus

  • Chromebooks available to all students in class every day.
  • Chromebooks are always charged and present.
  • Chromebooks are fully insured against damage at the cost of the school district.

Revised “at-home” Chromebook Program

We encourage all families to have their student/s utilize an available home computing device for after-school learning purposes. However, in the case where such access is not present, a Chromebook can be made available for checkout via our revised “at-home” program. Through this program, your child will be able to have a Chromebook at home to use for after school learning purposes. We believe that this program will help to ensure that all Charter Oak students have access to the tools they need to succeed in today's digital age.

Key Information: Revised “at-home” Chromebook program
