Charter Oak Unified School District Board of Trustees Reconfirms and Reorganizes in Dec. 19 Meeting

On December 19, Charter Oak Unified School District held its annual Board Reorganization Ceremony, marking a transition in leadership. Gregg Peterson was selected as the new Board President, and Dr. Cristian Aguilar assumed the role of Vice President. Their appointments signal an exciting chapter for the district, particularly as it navigates new directions under evolving leadership as Dr. Jordan retired as Superintendent, effective December 31. Both President Peterson and Vice President Aguilar bring years of experience serving on the Board and are deeply committed to the students and families of Charter Oak Unified.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity to celebrate the re-swearing-in of three trustees: Dr. Cristian Aguilar, Jeanette Flores, and Kristin McGuire. These trustees reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to serving the district, demonstrating their passion for ensuring quality education and fostering a supportive environment for all students. Their continued dedication provides stability and continuity, crucial elements for the district's ongoing success.

The Board Reorganization Ceremony was a moment of unity and shared purpose, highlighting the collective dedication of the district's leadership to its mission. With President Peterson and Vice President Aguilar at the helm, alongside the re-sworn trustees, Charter Oak Unified is poised for a future of growth, innovation, and continued excellence in education.
