Charter Oak High School Athletic Trainer Dr. Matt Simok has been named the 2026 Southern Section Male Athletic Trainer of the Year

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Charter Oak Unified School District of Los Angeles County, California (District), acting by and through its Governing Board, will receive sealed bids for the award of a contract for Bid #25-26-02 Asbestos Abatement Project for Various Sites. Bid documents will be available on April 15, 2026 AFTER the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Job Walk.

Notice is hereby given that, on behalf of thirty member districts in the San Gabriel Valley Food Services Cooperative Purchasing Group, the Board of Education for the Charter Oak Unified School District (District), Covina, CA (Los Angeles County), will receive sealed proposals for Request for Proposal Number # 25-26-01.

DELAC Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in DSC Board Room.

We are closely monitoring the potential lapse in funding for CalFresh/EBT benefits due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. This interruption could begin as early as November 1, 2025.

School meal programs will NOT be affected. Charter Oak Unified will continue providing free, nutritious breakfast and lunch to all students enrolled in our schools. In addition, students participating in after-school programs will receive a nutritious snack (available at elementary sites) or supper.

On October 2, Charter Oak Unified School District proudly cut the ribbon on its new Student and Family Resource Center at the Sunflower Learning Center campus. The center provides food, clothing, baby care items, hygiene supplies, and school essentials to families in need, while also serving as a vital hub of support for homeless and foster youth.
