Charter Oak Unified School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Jones as the new Principal of Washington Elementary School. With more than 20 years of experience in education, Ms. Jones brings a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and leadership to her new role.
Ms. Jones joins COUSD from Claremont Unified School District, where she served as Principal of Sumner Danbury Elementary School. Before joining administration, she taught English and English Language Development (ELD).
Known for her student-centered approach and commitment to educational equity, Ms. Jones is passionate about creating strong, inclusive learning environments that prepare all students for success. She looks forward to partnering with Washington Elementary families and providing meaningful support to the dedicated staff.
Ms. Jones holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
