Dear Charter Oak Families,

As we close out another incredible school year, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our students, teachers, staff, and families. This year has been marked by numerous achievements, exciting developments, and the continued growth of our vibrant school community.

Our students have once again demonstrated outstanding academic, artistic, and athletic talents. Here are just a few highlights from this year:

We continue to emphasize the importance of student outcomes and high-level achievement. I am proud of the collaboration our staff is having to set high standards and provide access to all of our students. Congratulations to the Class of 2024, who have greatly impacted our District and our community. 

We continue to showcase an amazing performing arts experience with our Band, Colorguard, Drama, and Choir students. Each group had an incredible year, winning countless awards for their superior performances. Travel for these groups showed no boundaries, as our Drama program performed in Scotland and the Choir in Austria. 

Our sports teams have had a banner year, with multiple championships and personal bests. We are proud of the teamwork and sportsmanship exhibited by our student-athletes.

The dedication and passion of our teachers, support staff, and administration are the backbone of our district’s success. We thank all of our employees for always going the extra mile for our students.  

The support of our families and community partners has been invaluable. Your involvement has strengthened our schools, from PTA fundraisers to volunteer initiatives and community events. 

As we prepare for the next school year, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. We will continue to focus on academic excellence, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that every student has the support and resources needed to succeed. We will continue with support in mental health and wellness programs and ongoing facility improvements.

Thank you for being part of our school district’s journey. Your support, whether as a parent, teacher, student, or community member, is what makes our district a special place to learn and grow. I wish you a restful and enjoyable summer break.
