Chromebook Insurance

We are excited to announce that the Charter Oak Unified School District has chosen School Device Coverage (SDC) to insure the devices that will be given to your student as part of this year's 1:1 device program. We encourage parents to get this insurance but it is completely optional.

This insurance program will protect you in the event that your device is lost, stolen, or damaged accidentally. For one low annual price, you may file a claim against any number of incidents that take place with no deductibles, no added fees, and no claims limits. The device insurance does NOT cover the charger nor the case. All you need is an email, your student ID Number, and the Serial Number of the Chromebook. How to file a claim after obtaining insurance:

If the device is damaged:

1- File a claim online here: https://schooldevicecoverage.com/login

2- Bring the device to the school with a printed copy of the claim

3- The School will issue a new device no questions asked

4- Make sure you register the new device in case you have to file another claim later.

If the device is lost or Stolen:

1- File a police Claim
