All transfer requests must be submitted online using the links provided below.
Please ensure that all required supporting documentation is included with your application. A list of the necessary documents can be found on the second page of the transfer form. Incomplete applications—those missing required documents—cannot be processed and will result in a delay. You are encouraged to attach any additional information that may support your request.

Allen Bill Transfer (Parent Employment-Based Enrollment) <APPLY HERE
Under California's Allen Bill (Ed Code § 48204(b)), families may request enrollment in Charter Oak Unified School District if a parent or guardian is employed within district boundaries for at least 10 hours per week. This option provides flexibility for working families and allows students to attend a school closer to a parent’s workplace. We welcome applications each school year and are proud to serve the families who make our community thrive.

District of Choice <INFO HERE 

If you do not reside within the Charter Oak boundaries, you can bypass the official district transfer process and select COUSD through California’s District of Choice program. Applications are available between October 1 and December 31. Click here to learn more.
